Freeland Community Hub has a mission to strengthen social interaction and enhance the overall wellbeing of our local community through a new community-owned village hub. The former Methodist Church (‘The Chapel’) was seen as ideal for this purpose, but following its closure in 2018, it only came up for sale in Spring 2025. We submitted an offer for the building and on 27 August 2025, we heard it had been accepted. On 5 June 2026, we took possession of the keys, and on 2 October, we received listed building consent.

Now the hard work starts to open this Hub within the 12-15 months.
